Can I get a Cashfloat loan with a bad credit score?

You can get Cashfloat’s alternative to a QuickQuid loan if you’ve got a bad credit score.

With Cashfloat, you’ll never be judged solely by your credit history. We do look at people’s credit histories and scores. However, we also take other factors into account when we make a loan approval decision. As well as looking at your credit information, we’ll also look closely at the amount of disposable funds you have. If you can prove you’ve got the money to repay a loan, there’s a good chance we’ll give you one. We already approve plenty of people with bad credit scores.

Although credit histories aren’t the only thing we look at when reviewing loan applications, improving your credit score will open up cheaper credit options for you in future. It’s always a good idea to try and improve it. Look here for tips on building up your credit history.

Did you know that, as well as having high acceptance rates, we never charge anyone a same day funding fee!

How do I make repayments?

When you take out a loan from us, you’ll agree to a repayment plan at the start. Your first repayment will be made in the next month after you take out your loan. After that, you’ll have to repay an agreed amount each month until you’ve fully repaid your loan. Your monthly repayments will be set as manageable amounts, and you can repay your QuickQuid loan alternative on our website by logging into your account.

You can even make early repayments for no extra fee, unlike with other payday lenders. If you do, you’ll save on interest charges.

Cashfloat also have a feature called Easy Start. You can read about it here. With Easy Start, we reduce your first monthly instalment, which is when you’re most likely to find it difficult to pay. You then get an extra month at the end as well to spread out the rest of the repayment. Overall, it makes things easier.

Remember to compare payday lenders

Before you take a payday loan offer, make sure it’s the best one for your circumstances. All payday lenders have their own pros and cons, and it’s a good idea to do some proper market research before you make a decision.

Loan comparison websites are a good place to start. They’re particularly good for looking at representative APRs and for comparing repayment terms. Be aware, however, that you may need to dig a bit deeper to get the full picture. It’s a good idea to go directly to a payday lender’s website and look at the full terms and conditions.

Make sure you know what you’re looking for in a payday loan as well. To help you out, here are some things people often look for:

  • Fast payment – check each lender to see how long it takes to receive the money.
  • A responsible moral lender – check they’re FCA authorised and will treat you fairly.
  • Early repayment option – some lenders let you pay early, which means you can save on interest.
  • Good interest rates – it goes without saying that you want a loan with low interest rates to reduce the cost.
  • Low fees – you also want to take a loan that comes with low fees.

We encourage you to look at all your options before signing a contract with Cashfloat. Nonetheless, Cashfloat’s loans may just be the perfect option for you. You can go to our loan calculator to see the conditions we offer for borrowing different loan amounts. You’ll also see how our representative APRs translate into monthly repayments.

But remember to be careful above all. Make sure you can actually afford the payday loan you want before you take it out! Taking out a loan you can’t really afford could cause you serious money problems.

Who were Quickquid?

QuickQuid was a trading name of one of Britain’s biggest payday lenders, CashEuroNet UK. In October 2019, the company went into administration and stopped lending. They closed down after thousands of compensation claims were made against them via the Financial Ombudsman. This happened in the first six months of 2019. These complaints came from customers who said they’d been sold loans they couldn’t afford to repay.
QuickQuid failed around a year after Wonga, which is another payday lending name that lots of people are familiar with.
You can still use the term ‘quickquid’ if you want a fast payday loan from Cashfloat to cover an emergency expense.
